love the play on denim and lace

Here is the Palette again, with a chair that Tyler got from the garbage…yes GARBAGE! We stripped the chair, bleached it (for no reason other than we are germ freaks), and stained it. I found Kravet fabric from Old Time Pottery for $3 a yard and we recovered the cushion.

Our guest bedroom is turning into a quaint shabby chic getaway!

DIY Palette (Free)-Turned shelving unit.

You can get palettes free from Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. We got this one from a granite distributer and used leftover stain from a previous DIY project. All you need is a little sandpaper and you’re set!

MISSONI for TARGET Home - Necessities

Missoni for Target MUST HAVES! My life will not be complete unless I have all of these in my closet by next week!

Industrial Coffee Table - Awesome DIY Weekend Project! We bought all of the materials from Home Depot and had a new Coffee Table by dinner time!

Would have been the most amazing bathroom IF that awful bathtub would have been a white porcelain soaking tub with gold ball and claw feet!!!

I am going to concentrate on what’s important in life. I’m going to strive everyday to be a kind and generous and loving person. I’m going to keep death right here, so that anytime I even think about getting angry at you or anybody else, I’ll see death and I’ll remember.

Fendi has many beautiful booties this season but these….hello! The cut out detail on these are amaze!

I love life…Yeah, I’m sad, but at the same time, I’m really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It’s like…It makes me feel alive, you know. It makes me feel human. The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good. So I guess what I’m feeling is like a beautiful sadness.

Tales of the Cynical Bridesmaid-Engagement Party Edition

So I have been designated “Maid of Honor” in my dear friends wedding. Seeing as how my wedding gene isn’t nearly as strong as it should be, I figured I would document this journey. Wish me luck!

Friday, August 27: Work followed by flower arrangements at the Bride & Grooms house.

Found out that I am now sharing Maid of Honor duties with another. Think the Bride is making a huge mistake. Kept my opinion to myself (miracle!). Drank two bottles of wine. Started flowers after the two bottles of wine. Completed one arrangement.

Saturday, August 28: Work followed by set up at the Engagement Party location.

Finished the rest of the arrangements. Grooms family is amazing. Perspired my way into my dress for the party. Room looks beautiful. Bed time.

Sunday, August 29: Day of the Engagement Party.

Made two shockingly romantical playlists for the party. Arrived to the party 20 minutes early despite wardrobe malfunctions. Bride looks beautiful. Ex porn producer complemented our (Ty & I) outfits. Met many amazing people, and a few not so amazing people. Was asked when Tyler and I are getting married about 27 times. Drank a lot of cheap wine. Put a crying baby to sleep while Mommy was socializing and singing Karaoke. Disgusted. Left shortly after. Wondered what the purpose of the Engagement Party really is. Decided when I get engaged there will be no party.

Monday, August 30: Headache.

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

New tattoo?!

Thank you for existing Mr. Louboutin.

Really dont think I would complain about anything if I lived here. Well, besides the furniture.

Correction: After I brought in fabulous furniture I really dont think I would complain about anything if I lived here.
